Top Reasons Why Skaters Would Love BeachLife

Kicking off the Summer! The BeachLife Festival, Redondo Beach, CA, May 3-5th 2019

The BeachLife Festival is coming to LA for the first time to help kickoff the summer festival season, and we couldn’t be more excited! Good beats, good vibes, and beautiful weather are all in store for an unforgettable weekend at this festival. We put together a list of why, YOU, the skater should head down and hang out with us May 3-5 at BeachLife Festival this year.

The Beach

If you are a LA skate local, you know there is nothing better than hitting the beach for that California sunset on the weekends in the summertime. What makes BeachLife Festival so special is that it is a 3-day event taking place right on the coast of one of the best beaches in LA – Redondo Beach at the Seaside Lagoon. That means 3 days of beautiful skateboard sunsets, with great music and people! BeachLife Festival is a celebration of Southern California culture – skaters definitely included! Pick up your board, grab your homies, and head down to the pier to hang out all weekend enjoying the beach, and meeting other skaters alike!

The Music

What would skate culture be without music? For most of us, going out and skating means hitting play to our favorite playlist, and jamming out to music while practicing some new moves on board. BeachLife Festival has a wide variety of music with 40 musical acts taking place over the weekend. Some of our favorite skate music will take place live at BeachLife Festival including Steel Pulse, Slightly Stoopid, and Ziggy Marley. Other performances will include Jason Mraz, Willie Nelson, Brian Wilson, Best Coast, Violent Femmes, Everclear, Sugar Ray, Blues Traveler, Dawes, Grace Potter & more! The music will be exceptionally good, and there is no better way than to enjoy it right at your hometown beach. Whether you want to chill and hangout in the sand with a beer, or skate around the boardwalk with friends, BeachLife Festival will definitely be the place to be this weekend especially if you live in the South Bay, so be sure to come down and check it out!

Pro Surfers & Skaters

BeachLife Festival has partnered with The World Surf League during this weekend, to host the 2019 Big Wave Awards to help kickoff the event on Thursday Night, May 2nd. Special guests expected to attend the event include current World Record holders Maya Gabeira and Rodrigo Koxa. World class surfers will be hanging around all weekend at the event, including pro skater/surfer Tony Alva and His Eyes Have Fangs are performing Saturday from 4:15- 5:00 ( This is an opportunity to see some of your local pros, and hopefully get the chance to say “Hello”.

These are only some of the top highlights we felt will make this event very special, but there is so much more than that. Head over to BeachLife Festival’s website to learn more. Tickets are on sale now and selling fast so be sure to get yours before it is too late!
